Mi-17 V5 helicopter was deployed in an operation to contain a major forest fire in Arunachal Pradesh’s Mebo and Sigar areas of Pasighat, the Indian Air Force said on Tuesday (March 10, 2026).

In a post on X, IAF said it, “demonstrated rapid response & operational precision in Arunachal Pradesh, deploying a Mi-17 V5 helicopter to battle a major forest fire in the Mebo & Sigar areas of Pasighat.”
