The Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) on Monday flagged the shortage of commercial cooking gas cylinders due to supply disruptions and sought government intervention in the matter. FHRAI wrote to Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri, highlighting “widespread disruption at the ground level”. It stated that several distributors are withholding supplies citing a government order dated March 5. This will put pressure not only on hotel stocks but also on Zomato and Swiggy.
The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has set aside an appeal filed by Reliance Realty, a subsidiary of Reliance Communications, seeking insolvency proceedings against Altruist Customer Management. A three-member bench of the appellate tribunal upheld the order of the Delhi-based National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), which had rejected the insolvency plea after observing a pre-existing dispute between the parties.
Reliance Retail, the country’s largest retailer, has acquired Pahadi Local, a beauty and wellness brand known for its nature-led, Himalayan-inspired formulations, for an undisclosed amount. Reliance Retail is a subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL), the holding company of all retail companies under the Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) group. It has acquired the brand, along with the business from Pahadi Goodness, which will amplify its play in the fast-growing traditional beauty and wellness brands. “With this business acquisition, Reliance Retail Limited reinforces its strategy of building and scaling differentiated, purpose-driven Indian brands by leveraging its unparalleled omni-channel retail ecosystem, digital commerce capabilities, and supply chain strengths,” the company said in a statement. The brand Pahadi Local is recognised for its clean formulations, conscious sourcing practices, and strong appeal among consumers seeking authentic, sustainable alternatives in skincare and wellness.
Mumbai-based True North on Monday divested a 3.6 per cent stake in Anthem Biosciences for ₹1,261 crore through an open market transaction. Private equity firm True North, through its affiliate Viridity Tone LLP, offloaded a total of 2,03,13,795 shares representing a 3.62 per cent stake in Bengaluru-based Anthem Biosciences, as per the bulk deal data on the BSE. Meanwhile, HDFC Mutual Fund and SBI Mutual Fund have collectively acquired 93,01,020 shares or 1.65 per cent holding in Anthem Biosciences at an average price of ₹621.10 apiece.
Dixon Technologies Ltd has received approval from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology for its proposed joint venture with HKC Overseas Ltd. Following the transaction, HKC Overseas will acquire a 26 per cent stake in Dixon Display Technologies Private Ltd, currently a wholly owned subsidiary of Dixon, through which they plan to expand into display technology manufacturing.
NTPC Green Energy on Monday said its 250-MW solar PV project in Andhra Pradesh has become operational. The project is owned by Ayana Kadapa Renewable Power, a wholly-owned subsidiary of joint venture entity ONGC NTPC Green, the company said in an exchange filing.
Pirojsha Adi Godrej on Monday bought nearly 1.78 per cent stake in real estate developer Arvind SmartSpaces for ₹40.7 crore from an affiliate of HDFC Capital through HDFC Capital Affordable Real Estate Fund-1. Pirojsha Godrej is the Executive Chairperson of Godrej Properties, Godrej Housing Finance and a Non-Executive Director at Godrej Consumer Products and Godrej Agrovet. The shares were acquired at an average price of ₹498 apiece, taking the transaction value to ₹40.71 crore.
Realty firm Puravankara Ltd has formed a joint venture to develop a housing project in Bengaluru with an estimated revenue of ₹1,300 crore. The land parcel offers a total saleable area of approximately 0.84 million square feet.
OneOTT Intertainment, a subsidiary of Hinduja Global Solutions, has signed an MoU with the Uttar Pradesh State Transformation Commission to expand digital connectivity across Uttar Pradesh under Project GANGA. The initiative aims to connect over 2 million households in the next 2–3 years by expanding broadband infrastructure across the state. As part of the programme, 8,000–10,000 local entrepreneurs will be developed as digital service providers at the Nyaya Panchayat level to deliver high-speed wired broadband to homes and businesses.
